“Participating on the Wienerschnitzel campaign in NSAC was the most fulfilling academic experience as an undergrad at Marist. NSAC provided the most accurate depiction of what agency life would be like and gave me a clear understanding of which professional advertising role I wanted to pursue. Watching the campaign come to life, from the initial concepts to the final creative presentation, was the most rigorous yet rewarding project I had ever worked on. Yet all that hard work was worth it as we accepted the 3rd place trophy at the NSAC competition!”

Brianna, Creative Director / Wienerschnitzel

““I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of an amazing team that worked collaboratively to create a B2B campaign from start to finish. Working with my NSAC team and advisors and being a part of the remote competition, helped me to master the craft of remote learning and working. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to participate in this incredible, well-organized competition and plan to use what I learned as I enter the advertising workforce.”

THE ONE CLUB / THE YOUNG ONES 2020

The Young Ones

Joanna D'Avanzo had 4 students from her Portfolio Class win Silver Pencil awards in The One Club For Creativity's student award show. The winning student teams consisted of Emma LeMay and Nicole Carlye, and Sierra Lesiak and Olivia Gage.

“Participating in the One Club’s Young Ones Competition was undoubtedly a highlight of my senior year. The Young One’s Competition was an amazing opportunity that offered my fellow classmates and I so much value and relevant work experience. The One Club gave us a couple briefs to chose from and my copywriting partner and I ended up creating a digital campaign for The New York Times, which was a daunting challenge. Winning a Silver Pencil was a true testament to the work that we had put into the entire semester. I cannot recommend the opportunity enough, as I will carry all that I’ve learned with me as I break into the ad world!”

Nicole Carlyle, Art Director / The New York Times

“The Young Ones was the most interactive, challenging, and rewarding projects I have ever been a part of. Participating gave me a true understanding of just how competitive the world of advertising really is. I trusted my creative ability and used my skills to impress. Never stop until you are proud to show off your work!”
